Arriving in the late evening and leaving on a night train at 17.30h two days later.. While traveling there is no such thing as enough time. To fully experience Bangkok we woke up early and came back late at night, this is my Bangkok experience.
Our first stop; The Damnoen Saduak floating market, one of the biggest of Bangkok. You will not only float past small souvenir shops and long tail boats with food, but you will also make a stop at a temple where you can walk around for a while.
Besides the floating markets, Bangkok has more markets to offer; The weekend market, which is of course only open in the weekend and very crowded. And you have the flower market, people make the most beautiful bouquets and you see both parties discussing price. Because the flower market is open 24/7 you can visit at every moment and experience different settings during the day.
During our second second day we made a five hour bike tour, where we saw many different faces of Bangkok. China Town, beautiful temples, green fields and a nice lunch were part of this experience.
