5 Must do’s in South-Africa

My roodtrip troughout South-Africa was unforgettable. Despite the sometimes lousy weather (it was winter during my visit) I wouldn’t have done it any other way. Thats why I made a top five out of the coolest things I experienced and you can not skip during your visit.

1. FEEDING BABY GIRAFFES
The early wake-up was totally worth it; the beautiful view, giraffes walking up close to eventually feed them their milk. It was such an unique experience and I would love to do it again one day.

2. FEEDING ELEPHANTS
At the beginning I was quite nervous since elephants are so big! But being afraid is not necessary at al, they are the most kind animals. You could feed them in three different ways and they hug you afterwards.

3. SAFARI
Besides entering game drives I also highly recommend to drive around in your own car. There is much to discover and you will be surprised how close some animals will come to the road.

4. PADDLE BOARDING IN PORT ELIZABETH
When we came back from Addo at the end of the day, the weather was still very nice and we were up to doing an activity. At the hostel were we stayed, we could rent paddle boards for just 100 rands for the whole day. A good way to explore the neighborhood and get a tan at the same time.

5. GO CLUBBING IN EAST-LONDON
Next to our hostel there was some kind of club and it was student night, so we were in our place. It was a cool experience how clubbing is here and it is so different than where I come from. Everybody can dance so good so make sure you practice in advance, haha!
